Born in Lexington, Kentucky. Experimenting with different forms of photography and editing at a young age led Jason on his journey to formally study the craft.​

After studying film theory and physics at the University of Kentucky (UK), he proceeded to receive a degree in graphic design; finally going on to earn a BA in film production from Brooks Institute in Ventura, California, with a focus on cinematography.

His films have earned festival recognition in Hawaii, Texas, California, as well as being selected for the 2008 Cannes Short Film Corner, 2010 Indie Spirit FF, and The LA Film & Music Weekend in Beverly Hills. He currently resides in Southern California, and actively works in feature films, television, and commercials in both camera and lighting.
